CREW Orlando, NAIOP Central Florida, ELEVATE and Trammell Crow Company are excited to join hands to bring a project of meaningful IMPACT to our community. Led by the UNITE Committee at CREW Orlando this event brought together Commercial Real Estate professionals to invest time, talents and treasure into the Evans High School Campus and make a better learning environment for the students. Big thank you to all the volunteers that made today happen especially my ride or dies who show up time and time again to cheer me on. I love Orlando and I am proud of how we came together to solve a problem.
Evan’s High School is the first community partnership school in the state and today we made an actual marketplace/retail “storefront” for students to “shop” with a QR code to get food for their families, school supplies, toiletries, and basic things that we all take for granted like deodorant and Vaseline. The kids of Evans high school also received much needed maintenance on the athletic facility as the need in Florida is so high for more schools that the athletics departments are being left behind- so we joined forces with EPA and painted all the dugouts, concession stands, roll up doors, and gave a much needed pruning and tilling of the greenhouse where the students can grow their own food and use the greenhouse to put fresh food in the Trojan market in the future. The project completion for the new batting cages is also scheduled for the new year. Thanks @hilinskiscott for answering the call and jumping in!
